If you are on yakju, try clearing the data on the google services framework and then doing the check for updates. That's how I got mine yesterday.

Yes!! I did that Clear Data for the Google Framework Services or whatever and then told it to check for updates, and voila ... It's downloading! Fresh new Jelly Bean on the way.

Thanks to the Clear Data thing it was saying I hadn't checked for updates since 12/31/1969. heh

Time to restart and install ... :)

Boom, second time I cleared the framework services I got the update. Thanks! No idea what this'll do for my GNex, hoping I don't lose anything at work.

Cripes, now my Play Store is broke. Won't download, won't update apps, keeps erroring out(can't retrieve info from server) even after clearing data. Anybody get that?

That's what happens when you clear the framework. Usually after you update it fixes itself but maybe you might have to reinstall the play store to fix it.

Kind of ...

Play Store crashed on me about 20 seconds after the new install/reboot of Android 4.1.2 this morning (finally). I wasn't using it explicitly, it just threw up an error notification while I was staring at the home screen. I dunno ... I opted to send Google a bug report.

I haven't tried using Play Store yet, so I can't comment on the functionality. I'm on a Nexus 7, BTW.

Makes sense. Thanks.

Same thing happened to me. I removed my gmail account then reentered my email and password to fix it.

That's really ugly. Is Google really going to this "upscaled phone interface" mess with 4.1JB?

It should be set so that the entire screen rotates so that the dock follows the on screen buttons instead of just rotating the icons.

Not sure what they were thinking with that one.

Has anyone got this on their gsm Nexus yet?

As of now it's only "yakju" build is being pushed out. 4.1.2 factory image is available for "takju" though if you want it. The Play Store Nexus are all "takju" build. My Nexus is "takju". It was "yakju" but I switched over to "takju" for 4.1 JellyBean update.

If you're rooted, there's simple way to update to 4.1.2 without waiting. Simply go here and download the official 4.1.2 factory image. Then flash the 4.1.2 system and boot images via Fastboot and you're done. As long as you skip and don't flash the userdata image, all your data and settings will remain intact and same as before.

Took my own advice and downloaded the 4.1.2 factory image and updated my "takju" GSM Galaxy Nexus via fastboot. So simple and it worked perfectly. All my files, settings, and configuration was left untouched as I only flashed the system and boot image. I did have to re-root using fastboot instead of using OTA Rootkeeper app since this wasn't OTA update but rather factory image flash. But that's piece of cake too with fastboot of cwm.img and superuser zip.

Got the update on my Nexus 7 night before last, got it on my Galaxy Nexus this morning. Only one minor issue, on the Nexus 7 in landscape mode the lock screen time is cut off. Right now it says it's 12:5 and then the 7 is halfway missing.

It feels like the battery life is better with 4.1.2. I feel like my phone has gone back to ICS battery life which was great.

Yeah, custom 4.1.2 ROM gives me excellent results with battery life. Fully charged and unplugged at 7:40 am, some texting, notifications and a few short phone calls throughout the day, on wifi the entire time. Got home at 5:30pm with 78% left. Doze off after a shower, checked the phone at 9pm, 75%.
Yesterday had some heavier usage, still made it home with 50%. Granted I didn't play games or do much else with it but I'm very happy.

4.1.2 fixed the wakelock standby battery drain problem I had with Nexus 7. I left it unplugged overnight and only lost 2% in little over 8 hours. Previously on 4.1.1, I was losing about 1% an hour and would've lost 8% overnight. Now my standby battery drain is inline with others. I'm very happy with this update.
