Andrew Luck prediction thread

Luck Prediction Poll

  • Luck will suck

  • Luck will do ok, but not great

  • Luck leads Colts to the promised land next season

He'll have talent all around him on the Colts so he'll do decent, but he'll still be a rookie

The Colts are in shambles without Peyton. I don't think Luck will be able to go in and in 1 season do what Peyton was able to do. He will need more support staff from the get go. Maybe in a few years they will really take off but not right away.

Honestly, Luck is out of luck.

I think he'll spend his entire career being known as the guy who's just not as good as Manning was.

He's going to a team that nearly went winless without their quarterback. Unless Luck turns out to be the undisputed Greatest Of All Time quarterback, there's no way he'll lead the Colts to the "promised land" next year. Maybe in a couple years after they've had some time to rebuild the rest of the team.

Luck will need 2-3 years before he can be properly evaluated as a NFL QB. Colts are rebuilding on top of the fact he's a rookie QB.

O-Line will determine how long that period lasts.

I've never seen him play a whole game, but since QB is the hardest position in the major sports imo, I'd easily bet against him to excel for the first few years atleast.

I think the colts are a quality franchise tho and wish them the best, as well as p. manning's next endeavor.

/edit: there's zero chance imo he'll be the next peyton...qb prodigies are few and far between, very difficult to predict, and with few exceptions.

My prediction in the Peyton thread says Luck ain't going to Indianapolis. He would fit better in Denver and Tebow would make Colts fans forget about...who were we talking about?

I didn't realize people followed 4H clubs this closely.

(That's what you're talking about right? Raising colts?)

He'll probably be decent, not nearly as good as Peyton was.

It's hard to say though, a lot of college QBs have come and gone with the praise of being an NFL style quarterback and then ultimately failing. It's usually the less celebrated quarterbacks that eventually rise to stardom.

Luck will be an average to top tier QB. And, as much as I like RG3, he's going to be a bust in the NFL... or at least not worth a high first round pick.

ignorant poll choices - Luck is a great QB prospect - however, as we all saw last season, the Colts aren't very good - he will have some growing pains, but over time he should be very good - asking him to be as good as Manning - who is, IMO, a top-5 all-time QB, is a bit much.
