Not necessarily a hot deal, but here is a great way to save money. I noticed the long threads regarding Cellular/PCS service. I personally subscribe to SprintPCS and have a ridiculous number of minutes (2000/8000), which I share across 4 phones. Presumably, some of you will also have extra minutes and may be paying for both local & long distances services at your house.
If so, consider using your cell phone or a second cell phone (Sprint add-a-phone = $10/month) as your primary local/long distance carrier. This product gives you a dial tone, and charges the cell phone. In my case, I have a base phone/answering machine combination w/ 4 satellite phones through the same base. I get a dial tone through the cell phone connect to my base, anywhere in the house.
This saves me approx. $40 - $50 per month.

The above example is for a Startac phone. Andrew Corp. evidently makes versions for other types of phones. I took advantage of the deal when my wife wanted a new phone to replace her Startac. I added an additional phone, got $100 off a $149 phone, switched the phone number, with very little additional monthly cost. In my case, I get a 23% discount on monthly charges through my firm.
