Since you're all so high-strung and opinionated all of a sudden. I've decided that whoever can come up with the best argument as to why this happened and why Bush is not a idiot will win a prize.

I suddenly find this topic of interest. So off we go to read replies. :D

Flames count too.

Have you no respect or reverence for the sanctity of human life? People are dead, and you want to take this time to flame President Bush. Take your flamebait elsewhere if this is the kind of contributions you would care to make. This is your FINAL warning. Don't test me today.

God not another flame war, have some respect for all the people who have fallen. This is not a time to be arguing amongst ourselves.

The US foreign policy that precipitated this incident has been developing and evolving for YEARS! You can't blame Bush. I don't like the guy, but pinning the blame on him is pretty pointless. He hasn't even been president long enough to have been singlehandedly responsible for this...
geez...

I mean you can say what you want. But if they strategically planned this for awhile, why unleash it now? Why?

You mean to say they weren't sure and were waiting for the hell of it? Come on now. They saw a opening and struck.

I can't really believe all the idiocy this event has brought out.

How the hell could this be Bush's fault?

Come on people relax. We aren't here to aruge, because arguing on the internet is like the special olympics. Even though you win, you're still retarded at the end. :D

So flame me all you want. I'm just saying, there was a opening, they took it, plain and simple.

The blaming Bush thing was a give-in. :D

You're a moron. Do you really think they would sit on this plan for such a long period to wait for a 'good opening'? The longer they waited, the better chance the attack would have been discovered. They did this as soon as it was possible, and today just happened to be it.

Don't blame this on Bush you idiot.. You can blame it on the failed security plans of administrations past if you want, but Bush obviously could not have prevented this.. Stop trying to start a political flame war in the middle of a national tragedy... Personally I think Bush will respond with MUCH more severe punishment that Clinton would have.. so I don't think your argument holds any water anyway.

Also, one of Bin Laden's associates is going on trial in Manhattan tomorrow for another bombing. Maybe that's why now. Who knows.

your are in college and above right? i know any engineers can understand political science if some1 explains to them: US has always been open. There is no such thing as "window of opportunity in US" cuz there is one everyday.

It wasn't like only till Bush came in then security decreased...was same yesterday, today and changing tomarrow

I suppose you think Bush ordered the hijacking of those planes just so he could get more funding for the military!

[sarcasm]Gore certainly would have used his "voo-doo" powers to prevent this from happening if he were prez[/sarcasm]

Because on this day in 1978, the Camp David Peace Accords were signed. They apparently pissed off some people in the middle east enough to use this day as a symbolical date.

Bush will let the hammer fall, because he's got the cajones to. And I am thankful for that.

Thats the truth, if Clinton/Gore were in office, the chinese would have been within our borders by now.
