The RAZR MAXX was pretty much ignored back when it was a flip phone - wonder if history will repeat?

If everyone used up their 2-year renewal upgrade on the RAZR, then there won't be anybody left for the RAZR MAXX and history will repeat itself.

HTC does this. constant new releases with minor changes and new names. there are so many HTC phones floating around the resale values are crap because no one wants to bother to look up the specs

Yeah, I would say HTC is probably worse. They're all about sales volume and rely on releasing multiple devices to reach their goal.

I'm not sure why manufacturers aren't happy with releasing a few solid devices. The myriad of devices just dilutes their brand. Motorola/Samsung are probably better at this than HTC with the Galaxy and Droid brand. HTC is just all over the place.

Droid is actually a verizon brand, Moto devices on other carriers have different names. even verizon screwed it up by having a new droid every month or two this year

Its what happens when you put out crap. You just keep pushing out more crap so people will buy it. Apple and Samsung put out quality. It takes time.
