I went to Dallas, Texas in 2002. I went there because I wanted to see Texas, and everyone told me Dallas >>>> Houston, including people I knew who were from Houston. It was an enjoyable trip overall. We also drove through Austin, and saw the Alamo in San Antonio.

Couple of general observations about Texas:

I thought it was just a bad stereotype of Texans acting like "cowboys". But when I arrived at the Dallas airport, I couldn't help but notice at least half the people had cowboy boots and ten gallon hats on. It was ridiculous.

The smog was unbelievably thick. It was worse than LA.

Oh yes, and there were lots of fat people. I've never seen that many lardos in my life. We went to the Galleria mall, and all the women there had bleached blonde hair, chunky cottage cheese thighs, and short-shorts to show them off.

yeah, i have to jump on you for this too. a buddy of mine bikes 50 miles four times a week but he struggles with a six minute mile. his cholestorol and heart rate are all top and the guy is definitely lean (exposed abs...skinny but not gaunt).

how could you call him unhealthy? let alone seriously.
