Obviously you were just owned by VIC!!!

Take a number, son. You and the rest of your Liberal friends on this forum are in for a real lesson.

I'm an Army of one. One Conservative on a forum is always a majority.

You will notice that other Conservatives aren't coming to my defense. It's the same way in Washington. People are scared and cowed by the Brownshirt mentality being promoted.

In my case, I'm a Christian. They can't and won't be able to touch me!

Its a little hard for the Democrats to take the moral authority on this as they currently seat a Senator who was a member of the KKK.

As a boy, in a cuture where it was common, who realized it war wrong, left, and has apologized.

And who has voted differently. On the other hand, you are misrepresenting him now.

DON'T FEED THE TROLLS.

Getting back on topic, I see now that many within the GOP are calling for Reid's departure as Maj Leader, likening this to Trent Lott's ouster in 2002.

Huh? Lott was commending Strom with obvious racist sentiments, while Reid was making a factual observation that can't really be argued with. Nevermind that Obama himself has stated it's no big deal, let's move on. I recall in the rush to smooth over the 'you lie!' debacle the other month, a republican figure stated that once an apology has been accepted by the PoTUS, no one else has claim on any grievance. Well?!

404, Parity not found. Sorry GOP, that dog don't hunt. You guys will actually have to win elections again to mix up the Senate.

 Lott didn't reference race in his comments. It's you race baiter morons who tried to twist his comments into something they were not. So you are right, there is no parity - Lott's was not regarding race - Reid's was. Reid should step down.... or he could just wait until he loses reelection.

Conservatives can see trolls and/or people who are trying too hard and will just let them burn themselves out. You fit that profile OR are a parody poster.

No one here shares your religion, or at least professes to.

There is one confirmation of the problem.
Conservatives can see trolls and/or people who are trying too hard and will just let them burn themselves out. You fit that profile OR are a parody poster.

And there is two.

No matter, one Conservative with balls is much better that One Thousand Bob Michaels or Trent Lotts.

I've got another bone to pick with you. You've come out and identified yourself as a Conservative and then suggested that you find me unreliable.

Listen and listen close as your battlefield General dresses you down. Don't you ever, ever again discredit a member of this Army in public. We are in a life and death struggle for this Nation. To marginalize a fellow in the trenches is worthy of a trip firing squad, for you.

If I hear that kind of crap out of you again I would be calling for that squad.
I expect it out of our enemy, but not from you!

Notice our enemy is in absolute lock step. If we are to stand a chance of winning the middle, you and me have to provide a united front.

Don't do it again, capiche!

So? Let them, what do you care? You are quite obviously no Democrat, so why not worry about your own?

I think Reid's comments are more related to his upbringing and generation than his political affiliation. There's a lot more missing here if someone is really trying to put him on the same playing field with say, Strom Thurmond. Heh, a half-black lovechild for one!

Yup. Rationalize it. Yeeeeeeeeeeep.

You wouldn't be doing that if it was a repub. in question

You're lying about what Lott said. Do a little research and it's clear. He'd made comments for years making it clear what his context and point of view was. He was saying we'd have been better with segregation.

Nope, try actually reading what he said and the context in which it was said in. Keep in mind that race was not mentioned at all. Just because you morons always think about race doesn't mean other people who make comments excluding race are actually really talking about race....

I'm not going to do your homework for you because you're lazy or just don't care abut the truth.

But he had long expressed these sentiments about race, and told Thurmond who had a segregation-based run for the presidency that we'd be better off with his platform winning.

Guy tells the KKK wizard "your work is great," CAD says it's not racist - "he didn't mention race!"

Nope. Try again, this time without the endless race bias lens you people always try to look through. I doubt you'll be able to but it's worth one more shot. :)

It's not often that you and I agree on something...but here it is. :)

Yup, parody posting all the way. Wasn't entirely sure until his last few in this thread. Mods need to check his IP, surely a good chance of being a formerly banned member. Best case, just a lonely parody poster.

EDIT: Haha, already banned. Nevermind.

So Trent Lott went out of his way to not only support Strom Thurmond, but specifically mentioned the year Thurmond ran for POTUS on a segregationist platform; 1948. Yet somehow Lott's endorsement of Thurmond has nothing to do with race because he didn't "mention" it? Is it at the very least significantly tied to race, CAD?

Btw, good idea or bad idea to vote against renewal of the Civil Rights Act and vote against making Martin Luther King day a federal holiday?

In the little corner of NE Nevada I live in the former county Democratic Party chair has become the biggest Harry Reid critic around. He's got a nice little buisness now selling signs, bumper stickers, and shirts that say 'Anyone "butt" Harry Reid'. Mention his name around here and you are bound to get lynched. But no matter what the poles say, the unions affiliated with the casinos (the same ones that keep his coffers full) will get him reelected.

Ahhhh CAD, there's that streak of intellectual dishonesty you're so famous for. I'm perfectly fine with Reid losing his re-election bid. I have no love for that creepy, slightly reptilian Mormon nut, and him sliding into retirement wouldn't bother me in the slightest. I'm not playing party favorites like you do. This is a simple matter of what's what, and is in no way the same thing as Lott's debacle even though you Banana Republicans wish it were.
Typical that you would try and frame Lott's comments as not racist. He publicly approved of segregationist policy, which is hardly the same thing as Reid making a factual observation in private. That Lott didn't specifically say "great person" or whatever makes no difference, his intent was clear - which is why his exit from office was relatively swift and not fought tooth and nail by his compatriots.
I'd say those trying to argue that the use of the word "Negro," in conjunction with some common knowledge, is somehow racist - THAT'S race-baiting. With a side of political opportunism mixed in to boot. So you can take that accusation and cram it up your ass.

I don't approve of Reid's comments personally, I'm just saying that you rabid Dem haters are really reaching in the attempt to equate this to Lott's fall from grace. But I understand it; it's an act of desperation.

As I said earlier, if the President accepting an apology from the man who publicly slandered him as a LIAR exempts anyone from having further grievances, then it applies to this situation. Or is this yet another double standard presented by the GOP?

Keep squirming guys. I'm enjoying it. :)
