Hey VoodooSupreme,

you forget one thing: uncompressed textures. Please take a GeForce and a V5. Make a screenshot in NfSorsche and compare those 2 shots (without FSAA). And you'll see how CRAPPY the V3/5 image quality is. And the image quality is even bad in OpenGL games. Who the f*** cares about DXTC as it is only existent in one game: Q3A. And when you have a GeForce with 64MB-RAM then why enabling DXTC?! This card is so fast! And even with 32MB-RAM you can play decently in Q3DM9 in 1024x768x32.

I guess some of the GF2 users here are bad Quakers 'cause they're looking nonstop in one direction... the sky... (sounds like offense but IT IS NOT). No flame war, please! The GeForce2 is the fastest card but not the 'best'. I admit also that nVIDIA is the current No.1. So don't think I'm a 'loyal' voodooist. Though,I prefer more the Radeon right now. (wait 'til ya see HALO on a Radeon, GeForce will be slow as hell (it has just 2 texture units per pixel pipeline, Radeon has 3)).

One of the next driver releases will address this so called 'problem', so don't piss off too much guys!

Besides, I'm a happy V3-3000AGP user who has disabled the sky in Q3A...

VoodooSupreme,My friend has a V3 2000 he is impressed with the image quality of my 12hour old Geforce2 MX ,infact when I upgrade to a NV20 he is going to buy the MX from me,Since my T-bird 900 will need something faster later like the NV20 to get the full speed out of it.

Mem, the difference in visual quality between a 5500 and a V3 is immense. The two are not comparable.
