he just ABSOLUTELY did not see me. OMFG, I SLAM on the brakes the Anti lock kicks in a bit and I STOP with just a few inches to spare as he crosses in front of me.
OMFG. I was SOOO FVCKING pissed.
in retrospect i should have just hit him.
Ok, I call BS on this since no one else has. And even if not, your still a dumbass.
1) You stop with just "a few inches to spare". Come on! WTF are you smoking. Can you even pull up to a parking spot with a wall and know when you are "within a few inches"?
2) Do the math/physics here. How long did it take you to stop (that would tell us how far away you applied the breaks). To be able to come to a COMPLETE stop, a few inches away from the guy, you would have almost had to hit the breaks before he even started pulling out. Most people who dart across the road accelerate pretty quickly. Lets assume that they had to travel the width of your side of the road + the lenght of their car. 25-30 feet? Starting at rest, and accelerating to 15 mph doesnt take that long, and they could probably do that easily. So.. 15mph is 22 feet per second. Divide that by two and assume for constant acceleration, and it would take him maybe 2-3 seconds to cross your lane, or your half of the road.
So what you are telling us is, that you slammed on the brakes, came to a stop from 45mph to 0, within a few inches of his car, AND he still hadn't finished passing in front of you "I STOP with just a few inches to spare as he crosses in front of me.", which should have only taken him 2-3 seconds. So if he was s till in front of you, then all of this happened in 2 seconds (you spotting him, AND stopping in time). Err... thats why I call BS on this. At the very least, you are greatly exaggerating all the details.
3) If you had slammed on the breaks, and barely hit him, you would have been at fault for going 45 mph. Since 5mph slower could have easily allowed you to stop in time. So you acting all bitchy because HE almost caused a wreck, when you going only 5mph over the speed limit brought you "INCHES" away from hitting him. If you had been traveling at the speed limit, it wouldn't have even been a close call. Based on the earlier exaggerations I would assume you were probably going a bit faster too.
