this wet snow is nasty.

been snowing all night and this morning. supposed to taper off soon.

it's quite messy outside here. good thing I am staying home.

Took an hour to shovel the driveway this morning. Don't even know if I'll be able to get out of it. Snow on the street is pretty deep. What a steaming hot cup of awful this wet snow is.

LOL

I know what you mean.

the snow has stopped here, more or less.

my friend is dropping by to give me a laptop to tinker with. At least I will have some to do, besides watching movies and surfing the net.

🙂

What a mother f**king mess. I'm at work with shoes off cause my leather boots are soaked, as are my socks.

The wet snow is worse than snow because it's creating dams along the sidewalk, so there are 1-4 inch deep ponds everywhere people haven't shovelled. It's even worse in the 'burbs because the tractor sidewalk plows have been through once (tire tracks) and there are still ponds.

Luckily, the buses and subway are running on time. Unluckily, the effing walk to the subway took way longer trying to avoid the puddles. Then I remembered the wrong bus schedule, so missed a bus by 30 seconds -- was at coffee shop since next bus was 20 minutes off.

Traffic has been insanely light in the Toronto area this afternoon. I was honestly expecting a shit show but things have been quiet. Guess everyone took a snow day. Roads just wet right now. Could change if the temp drops.

Transit works AMAZINGLY well on snow days because everyone else is having a snow day. I swear, everytime we have a snow day, I get to work in record time.

Nasty. 7 inches of normal snow, not so bad. Wet snow? screw that! Guess the good news is, snow does not really stay on the ground for you guys right? So you just have to make a path big enough to get to work that morning and it's gone within a few days? Or does it actually stay?

depends.

right now its snowing here again. The trees look kind of pretty with snow on them.

its only a little snow maybe an inch. not much more expected today.

people driving 20 on the highway this morning were more of a hazzard than what the weather did

(western NY)

i drove 70 instead of 80 on my way to work with no issues
