So basically FOX News reporters will reveal their sources while having dinner with the President. Good to know.

Do you have to have some kind of license to broadcast the news--to at least join the guild of journalists so that you can be considered a news organization? Fox needs that thing revoked, and the network would have to be renamed to the Fox information network or something like that.

....ah who am I kidding: the idiots rolling around on their couches and eating their cheez whiz would be all too happy watching the Fox Newz network from now on. They'd never notice.

I take offense to that :)

Reportedly Kelly has been promised that everything goes through him and nobody can just walk into the Oval and grab Trump's ear.

I assume that doesn't include his family that works for him (Jared/Ivanka), his new mouthpiece the Mooch, or probably about 20 other people. So like most Trump promises it's basically useless. Trump's own free wheeling nature will still cause him to go around Kelly and most of his advisors when it suits him. I doubt Kelly lasts more than a few months.

I just don't understand why anyone would take a job in this administration. It seems like everyone gets treated like shit and then either gets fired or resigns. Why put yourself through that? It not like a position in Trump's government is going to look good on your resume.

They all think it's their shot at glory, and they'll surely be the one that sets things right. And frankly, many of them seem oblivious to the fact that Trump will throw them under the bus the moment something goes wrong, since he really does care only about himself.

Rather reflected in the quality of people Trump can get now. I mean, mooch the new comms guy has zero comms experience, and kelly whose new job is political wrangling has zero political experience. It's literal amateur hour atop the most powerful gov on earth.

Agreed. I think people are going to start being a bit more skeptical that they can turn things around, but if you go far enough down the list of candidates you're bound to find someone who's willing to take the job. It's just a question of how qualified that 15th ranked candidate is.

What potential glory do they see? So far, every public-facing person in the administration was become an international laughing-stock. It's impossible to come out looking good if the man in charge contradicts and belittles you at every turn.

Kelly better confiscate Trump's TV and tell him to stop watching Fox News...

Apparently Jesse Watters of Fox has started openly discussing the "benefits" of a Trump dictatorship.

http://theweek.com/speedreads/71506...s-trump-dictator-maybe-could-repeal-obamacare

"It's unclear which people Fox News' Jesse Watters has been talking to, but he claims "a lot" of them "wish President Trump was a dictator." Watters explained Thursday on The Five that if Trump were a dictator then "maybe we could repeal ObamaCare." "It would be a lot easier that way," he said, hours before the ObamaCare "skinny repeal" died on the Senate floor.

Last year it was all about Obama's abuse of executive power, right?

Jokingly, I suggested months ago here on the forums that people around the president dub their suggestions over a feed of Fox & Friends.

I figure they see glory in it in the same way that Trump's supporters do. They don't see (or glibly ignore) the incompetence, backstabbing and corruption inherent to the Trump administration -- they just imagine themselves "making America great again," even if that means setting things straight. It takes a while until they realize that there's nothing they can do to fix an unstable, narcissistic leader who regularly ignores expert advice.

A snake has more morals than Trump. Even Dick Cheney has more morals than Trump. Hell, even Putin has more morals than Trump.

Can't look a man straight in the face and tell him what's what?

Coward. Cowardly. Where's 'ol Georgie S. Patton when you need him?

are you not entertained though?

I am thinking this has only ever been Donny's last desperate attempt to get that emmy that he so clearly deserves. Apparently he never read the memo that this isn't a reality show.

People in a position to hold these posts are certainly not that stupid. Generally administration jobs look good on a resume (ie playing for a championship team), but not when the boss trashes you before a very even more embarrassing boot out the door. Even the snakes see what's happening to Sessions and have their reservations.

I can't recall ever seeing any previous administration install family like this guy has while talking out of both sides of his mouth. Says he's going to drain the swamp but instead he reengineered it filling it with family and friends. Verizon ain't got sh!t on this guy's family and friends program. Come 2020 I'd vote for a ticket with Snoop Dog and Martha Stewart over this guy.

Trump dehumanizes his victims, dismisses & disowns them as less than worthy of his time.

I'll take an Abrams or a Pershing myself. Less white supremacy, more humility.
