Fvcking pos!! Jesus Christ wtf is WRONG with this man?!?!

Nero Fiddles while New Orleans drowns!

Maybe he should have grabbed a bucket, run to New Orleans and started bailing?

I would be more inclined to ask "Jesus Christ wtf is WRONG with this man?!?!" about the OP here. It seems as though sanity is fleeing and reason uncommon in most of your comments lately.

BTW, it's a guitar our president is holding, not a fiddle.

He blew off the Little League World Series champions because he had to get back to D.C. to "handle" this crisis in LA, MS, AL but he has time to "play guitar" and fart around in California?

He's a disgusting human being. He isn't worth the saliva to spit in his face.

BTW, I assume you don't know from whence the expression "Nero fiddled" arose?

WTF is Bush supposed to do right now?

Statement by President Bush on Hurricane Katrina and the Iraq Constitution
WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ --

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- THE PRESIDENT: This morning I spoke with FEMA Undersecretary Mike Brown and emergency management teams not only at the federal level but at the state level about the -- Hurricane Katrina. I've also spoken to Governor Blanco of Louisiana, Governor Barbour of Mississippi, Governor Bush of Florida, and Governor Riley of Alabama. I want to thank all the folks at the federal level and the state level and the local level who have taken this storm seriously. I appreciate the efforts of the governors to prepare their citizenry for this upcoming storm.

Yesterday, I signed a disaster declaration for the state of Louisiana, and this morning I signed a disaster declaration for the state of Mississippi. These declarations will allow federal agencies to coordinate all disaster relief efforts with state and local officials. We will do everything in our power to help the people in the communities affected by this storm.

Hurricane Katrina is now designated a category five hurricane. We cannot stress enough the danger this hurricane poses to Gulf Coast communities. I urge all citizens to put their own safety and the safety of their families first by moving to safe ground. Please listen carefully to instructions provided by state and local officials.

...
He's already got disaster agencies on the march as well as the National Guard. And if he did jump on TV and talk about it more the left would whine that he was using Katrina as a photo op.

Good job stretching so far to bash Bush that you fall flat on your face.

I recognize the reference to nero. The thing is lately you've been showing an extremely ugly side of yourself. I KNOW you're a better person than this. I've been reading your posts for a very long time. Hate will eat you up. 🙁

He's been like that since he came back from Atlantis . . .

Conjur believes that, with his godlike powers, GW the Divine should have lifted up his arms and caused the Gulf of Mexico to part over New Orleans. 😉 😛

He wasted no time getting to Florida to help out last year. But, then again, that was an election year. Now that he has all of that political capital....

Well at least last year he took his re-election bid serious and got out to help vs John "I needed to fake tan and have my nails done" Kerry who didnt lift a finger.

Of course it could also be because this level of destruction is far beyond what was seen in Florida last year. And unless the SS wants to let GWB drive around in a boat helping people there isnt much he can do personally.

He ain't fiddlin', he's winning the hearts & minds of the people who ain't got a house no more.

He sent 150,000 to Iraq to build democracy or whatever; he'd better send twice that many to the Gulf Coast. And he needs to do it now.

Help out?

He surveyed the damage. He had already 'helped out' Florida by getting emergency agencies on the case quickly, just as he has done for Katrina. That's what is important. His physical presence is meaningless since the only thing he could possibly do right now would be to fly over the devastation in Marine 1. Whoopty-doo.

which is all Clinton did for the Mississippi flooding, errr wait, no he didnt, he sent Gore to fly over and survey the damage, and that was like a week after the fact.

Like omg, that bastard. He's totally not calling in Captain Planet to save Lousiana cause he hates them blue staters.

And what would you recommend that he do differently or faster than the current operations in place.

Bring in the brass and veryone gets flustered and concerned about protocol; actual work does not get done for 2 days (1 before and 1 during).

Would you suggest NO go itno emergency relief gridlock for two days for a show & tell op?

I suppose Bush should have jumped up and ran out of that elementary school classroom when 9/11 happened, right? Do you ever stop?

How about working to mobilize as many national guard units as possible and move them to MS and LA?

Move helicopters, medical supplies, food, water, etc.

Do SOMETHING besides eating cake with McCain and playing a fvcking a guitar in San Diego.

Bush doesn't direct disaster management policies himself. He's already directed the department heads to take action. He's done what he is supposed to do. It's now the responsibility of each department to do what is necessary.

Actually it's not. Have you not been paying attention? The place is a disaster - FEMA and extra National Gaurd troops are still on stand-by(ie not going in) last I heard because the situation isn't ready for them.

So why would anyone -especially the President go there? Don't you think that would hamper efforts since resources would be diverted from resues and such because he was there?

Think with your head people - not your partisan rectums.
