It's been torrental rain here all day . . . couldn't get anything done It's worse then 5 years ago when LSD flooded, and people were reminded in a very harsh way Chicago was built on a swamp when every basement on the Northside flooded. When will it end . . .

errr . . . Lake Shore Drive. It's a highway built next to Lake Michigan. On certain parts, the rain was so heavy the beech got flooded out, so waves were cresting and overflowing onto the highway itself.

Nice and sunny here on the other side of the lake... though I wouldn't mind some thunderstorms. Surrounded by 4 lakes you'd think we'd get a lot of lake-effect rain but nooo!
