And I sadly say goodby to my iPhone

I didn't sadly say goodbye to my iPhone, I violently said goodbye to it by throwing it against the wall. Too many hangs (and you can't remove the battery to force a reboot) and dropped calls, and a useless 3G network in the SF Bay Area, all coupled with ridiculously short battery life. Let's not forget the dictionary software that always guesses the wrong word.

I love the idea of the iPhone; what it does well it does really well, IMO. But to me the current 3G unit is unusable.

I've actually had nothing but good experiences with the dictionary software. I find it pretty remarkable how well it guesses. I think once out of every 40-50 words it guesses wrong for me.

Im waiting for an Android based phone on Verizon's network. The Blackberry Storm is a massive failure so far....

I don't expect that any time soon. 🙁

Dictionary is almost always correct for me. And... you can hold the power button and home button to force a reboot.

The storm would be awesome if Verizon didn't lock down the GSM part and allowed smartphones on InPulse prepaid...then I'd be able to carry 1 phone instead of 2. Unforunately they won't because they're Verizon.

I got a Nokia N95. While I loved the iPhone 3G, I just had to get something else. The touchscreen is awesome but can get old fairly quick.

I kept the iPhone and went back to it 🙂

Why was that?

I wanted to like the G1, it was like owning a phone sold by Harbor Freight versus one sold at Tiffany's.

I suspect I'll find more to like in the 2nd and 3rd gen Androids.
