and HONDA Continues to Rock and Roll Over the Competition

they arent exactly the best car company, they just have the best value company.

Many people will only buy Domestic cars in the U.S. because it shows that you are supporting the economy, and especially for sales people some will only buy from u if you drive AMERICAN. However most american cars contain very little american steel

and ppl wonder why flame wars get started (here we go)

I'd say they're pretty even....

Both build exceptionally excellent products.

It doesn't make sense. Most cars sold in the US are built in the US so you're still supporting the economy no matter what you buy... Right?

anyone remember those honda commercials in the 80s? with the guy trying to sell the honda, but the ppl just keep coming in and saying "i'll take it!"... then the commercial ends with "honda, the car that sells itself" 😛

You're helping to employee American workers, but the bulk of the money goes across the Pacific.

Majorityof foreign cars are made right here in the USA.

Support capitalism and by the best car for the dollar that meets your needs...

😛

I think Toyota has a rather dull lineup... other than the new 4runner... but i'll still take a toyota. 😀

Their F1 engine is doing a lot better than Honda's... 😀

my year and 1/2 old Odyssey is starting to rattle just like any GM van..dammit only 12000 miles too 🙁
Also, my 01 Civic with 15000 miles shifts like a bastard. Thus far, I'm missing my past GM cars

Or buy an SUV.

You know, part of the reason the Japanese are in the situation they're in today is they haven't exactly capitalistic with their exports.

And make dull cars all the while.

Why are they dull?

Name a (newer) non-dull car?

IMHO, there hasn't been a non-dull Honda since the early 90's Prelude.

They're not dull, they're functional. 😉 Besides.. my question was.. Okay.. if Hondas and Acuras are dull, then what is not dull?

I think that Toyotas feel more solid all the way around. Honda makes great cars, but they feel flimsier than Toyotas IMO. This is especially reflected in their luxury lineup (Acuras vs Lexus? no contest)

I never said Acuras are dull, I like them, but only since they started putting manual transmissions in their non-NSX cars. They have much more attractive skin than the Honda me-too mobiles.

As for not dull, are we talking same type of models? I think an SVT Focus is much more exciting than a Civic, Gallant over an Accord, Escape or XTerra over the CRV, and just drive all minivans into a ditch.

I also like my SAAB, but it's in a different class than Hondas.
