Keep wasting your time doing that while I have everything nice and organized automatically by WMP9 whenever I rip a CD. I *may* switch over to iTunes when it comes out as I really like it for Mac, but all my music is now WMA lossless and I don't feel like converting.

DAMN,

I gotta decide whether to buy MP9 or go for itunes.

whtchyall think?

Uh.... wow, I can't even figure out what OS that is. I've been looking for something like you have that has your computer's stats right on the desktop like that... can someone point me in the direction of a program that'll do that for Windows?

Because all I have to do is insert a CD in any of my computers, and click once. WMP9 rips the audio, puts it on my mediaserver (where it is organized *gasp* by artist directory/album subdirectory), downloads album covers, and adds it to the library. All the computers' WMP are set to monitor the music directory and their respective libraries are updated automatically. Then I can sort in the library by artist, album, genre, whatever.

ite makes sence. i use EAC to rip to the correct place highest VBR setting. im just not a fan of teh whole libraries think. and i dont like WMP. i dont use libs in winamp 3 either.

i dont think one way is better then another its just whatever the user likes better. and the way i do things works for me and i dont have any probs with it. if i did i woudl prob change

thought this was link?

Steve Jobs said there's a new site a few minutes ago. It seems to be being hammered, though.

It seems to be getting forwarded to the apple iTunes site now.

I guess they figures that was better than the site not coming up at all. I'm imagining a couple apple employees speeding over to thier colocation center or wherever thier servers are kept with a car full of Xserves to upgrade the www.itunes.com site.

Everyone says that, but I've yet to get an explanation as to why.

BAH...corrupt install file...smooth Apple...smooth.

Error 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.

i still think 99 cents is a little too much per song. You figure an average CD has 12-15 songs. So you're still paying $12-15 for an album, though you can pick the songs you want.

if it ever goes down to like 50 cents, I'll be all over it but for now, I'll listen to the radio and my cds

I just installed it on my winbox, awaiting a reboot, hope it works as good as it does on my Powermac.
