It was cheap entertainment and you did have to sift through the BS, but some of the theories could be possible. Who knows.

This.

My biggest beef is how often they repeat themselves during the same episode. Arrrrrrgh.

Alien Tech.

Ark of the Covenant + Sound Horns = Fall Of Jericho. :\

evidence showed they burned and beat down the walls, they were stacked stones, not sturdy like today, though why they were burned i have no clue.....so History Ch. has taught me anyway.():)

This show is kinda like Lost Tapes...just pure entertainment meant to fool you so they can get as much of your viewing as they can.

Does anyone else miss leonard nimoy hosting that "in search of" show....now that was a good entertaining show, unlike this crap.

What, this guy doesn't seem like a trustworthy source of information to you?

He should change his last name to Douchalopos or something, as it would be more fitting. He is a regular and my wife and I always make fun of him.

The show has interesting subjects, but their "experts" are a joke and when they are discussing their theories, they frame them as if they were fact.

The History Channel has gone down the tubes showing psuedoscience and imaginative history.

The history channel is probably 75% conspiracy bullshit by now. They should just go back to war documentaries.

I agree! I was watching "Earth Without Humans" on History Channel, a theory of what would happen if humans dissappeared instantly from the planet, what would happen as the years progressed, it was preposterous!

For example, after 3 years the Burj Tower in Taipei would be leaking rain water on all floors from broken windows produced by storms, and the building itself would crash to the ground in 50 years due to a 80-ton ball of steel it has on the upper floors falling due to rust erroding its steel cables holding it.... what difference does it make if humans exist or not, why would the steel cables rust any faster or the windows break from storms so fast?

I think you just don't understand. You do know those suspension cables on bridges require constant inspection/treatment right? Imagine if there are no humans around to take care of them... Why would it be any different inside a building that eventually becomes more exposed to the elements as windows break (refering the cables holding up the ball). Since humans can't replace the windows, exposure keeps increasing. I'm not an expert on materials so I do not know how long windows of a building could last before they start breaking or how often some break from storms. I just assume they talked to someone who knows a little bit about it. The numbers don't seem too outrageous.

Still Ancient Aliens is crap. Please stop watching it so it goes away. Demand real history!

Agreed.

I can't stand that they can even use "History" in their name.
I still watch History International, though.

lol was just going to say History International seems to now be what History channel once was...

heck, didn't know it existed until I was at my sisters' over thanksgiving and saw on their DirectTV package, makes me want to upgrade my basic cable.

History and Discovery have both gone way down hill with all their BS alien and ghost garbage. National Geographic is still ok and Animal Planet is alright most of the time but there are ton of new science and history type channels that are just so much better, makes me wonder how much longer until they're corrupted as well.

LOL @ the "History" Channel. Who still watches that shit?

The whole channel is like a freak show now. It is really embarrassing. It wasn't that long ago that it was actually a great channel to watch. I guess it was 2004 or 2005 where it started heading downhill.

At one time, TLC was OK too. It seemed to be the first channel to circle the drain, and Discovery eagerly followed with crap like Monster Garage. Not to be outdone, History Channel came up with crap like Ice Road Truckers and Axe Men.

I heard this on Coast to Coast. That radio show is pure lulz.

Shadow people are what you see when you have been tweaking for days on end... No wonder people listening to the radio at 4 in the morning see them

true story.

He will talk about ancient aliens' bodies and their adaption to earth's climate, technically he would be a valid expert then.

LOL, now that's funny! How on earth would that make him an "expert"? He has no scientific background.

Wait -- I've seen ET, Aliens, Independence Day, tons of Star Trek -- so I guess I am also an expert on possible alien forms.

I remember all that crap back in the Chariots of the Gods? days.

Anyone who thinks aliens gave advanced technologies to humans is a moron.

its all been debunked a long time ago.

I still lol @ Bimini Road, Easter Island, etc...

Didn't Erich von Däniken write a sequel: More Chariots, More Gods?

:awe:

This shit again?

I must admit though, this thread is far more entertaining. The pictures of Wang, Cock, and the Crank Head deliver! The clip with dinosaurs in the Civil war was quite good too. I have never seen WKUK but I plan to start watching those clips.

"See through battle robots, that's my idea."

I gave up on TV in high school...

Benefits of not watching TV:

-spend less because less exposure to slick advertising campaigns
-less depressed to know that we don't give TV our attention, and start paying attention to our own lives
-more interaction with the rest of the world

to list a few. TV is not your friend.

actually, that's all perfectly reasonable.

these massive structures have crews inspecting and replacing these crucial bit and pieces constantly. Hell, the GG bridge gets a new coat of paint every 10 years, I think. The paint actually prevents UV damage and erosion from salt water. Without it, much of the structure would succumb to rust and fall into the bay.
