Anandtech's new XBOX Linux Article...

...although it wasn't as obvious as some of the stuff on Tom's...but still. I'm reading this and in the end they don't accomplish anything beyond "Hey it works! Thats to the Modchip guys and there site is http:..."

Anyone else get the same feeling? I didn't think AT would turn to this 😛

i kind of have to agree with you on that, but i also have to say that i have a xbox with a smartxx chip, 80mm stealth, and soon a 200gig and it has its uses. for example with xbmc it makes a very cheap and clean htpc that can stream a number of different video and audio codecs. im not saying i would have gone out and spent all that, but i got the xbox for free and i got good deals on most of the parts.

yeah but the point is they didn't run a bunch of things to show the HTPC uses, or how high quality DIVX they could get. Instead they ran near useless tests and expect us to "eat it up" with the advert. Reminded me of Tom a lot. I mean lord who is going to use a 733Mhz processor to encode Mp3s?!?!
