So how come Anandtech doesn't have their Favicon back after updating their site? Are they going to add it back soon? I like having the favicons show up in my FireFox bookmarks and now Anandtech's is gone :(.

Anandtech is the only site I regularly visit that has a messed up favicon. I'm not sure why... usually another site's icon will cache into the Anandtech slot on my favorites. This is with the latest build of FF, and all the older builds also.

The little icon to the left of the URL in the address bar of your browser and next to (some of) your bookmarks/favorites

thats why you save them, so you can point your bookmark to the saved icon and never have to worry about it again.

I wonder if there is a program out there that will automatically save your favicons to a different directory so that you can delete your temp files and cookies but never lose your favicon. Something like that would be really neat.

HURRY UP AND GET YOUR FAVICON BACK ANANDTECH SO I CAN SAVE IT! lol

There is/was such a program. Looks like they want $6 for it now. I've been using it for most of the last 4 years too.

I'll post the file somewhere (500KB) if there is an interest.

Mozilla/Firefox users have it a little better these days as those browsers will display favicons on-the-fly without saving them anywhere. However, that does nothing for bookmarks.

Favicons are kind of messed up. I'll get the same one printed twice in a row in my bookmark tabs or it'll be all skewed or something
