Is it just me or are the articles on the main page of AT.com kinda long? like i've noticed 10-11 pge articles, which i kinda lose interest after the 4th page. I mean no offense, the site is great, jsut wondering if anyone else felt this way.

it gets boring if you read all the review specs and stuff like that. just read the intro, bechmark summarys, and conclussion if you dont have the time or patience to read it all.

Too long? Hell no. The man is thorough and the handy index allows you to skip parts that you don't feel or relevant. Better than the half ass "I put the heatsink on the CPU and it wasn't warm. I give it 4 stars" reviews that some other sites try to pass off.

<< no, more like 25 minutes >>

4 pages in 25 minutes? What are you, 8? Read faster.

Well, unless it's something I am genuinely interested in...I look at the benchmarks first and if I like what I see, I go back to page 1.

I agree that they are long but that's what makes the site better - more detail and thoroughness.

I actually feel the articles on Anandtech are not technical enough. For instance - CPU reviews. He often says "this CPU ran this test faster because of it's architecture". That is nice and well, but if you go somewhere like Dr. Dobbs or Aces Hardware, they will say "there were problems with the decode unit" or "this processor doesn't have enough gp registers" or whatever. This to me is a real answer - not some vague reasoning that I am not sure of. I can understand that they need to make the site more accessible by people who are techies and non techies alike, but it is unfortunate for those who thirst to know just a little bit more without being EEs.

No, that would be real speculation, not answer. If they actually get a hold of the design, put in that fix, do a simulation, and it does exactly what they predict it to be, then its real answer. Until then, its just speculation. Anand's is vague, but at least it is correct.

I agree with cxim here, I never thought I would ever but anyway, as a non-native speaker I'm always very confused by all these difficult word and stuff like long sentences(more than 5 words in row make me ......err what were we talking about ? ;)

It's not too long either for me. It is great for research purposes. I always go to Anandtech before purchasing any hardware and the longer the articles, the better I like it.

He is thorough on his articles and his articles are sometimes technical. This is better than some other review sites that only do reviews and benchmark without the technical explanation.

It's not that they are bad, no no , i like his articles. But i was jsut saying they are a little drawn out sometimes. Like Cxim says, to the point.
