I was brewing up an idea about a month back, I think we should have some Anandtech awards for the year!
Actually, maybe only 1 🙂
How about Member of the Year?
What does everyone think?
I think it's cool, but hell, I could be wrong! 🙂

too many members...dunno how we'd manage to do nail one w/ member of the year award. but my vote would definately have to go to bigcfromcinci

I would say about 90% of you deserve to be nominated but there are a special few that should get something special, along them is WombatWoman 🙂
 
You would have to come up with several categories.... You could break it up by forum, category, whatever.... I'd say you would need at least 10.

I nominate myself for "comeback of the year award" 😉 went away from the boards for a few months as a senior member w/ like 300 posts, and 2 weeks later, here I am w/ platinum gleamin'

- Funniest Member - GirlFriday
- Transexual of the Year - Adul
- Scrooge of the year - 3 way tie between Russ, Red Dawn, and Mean Mod (although Russ could be the Mean Mod)
- Best Name of the Year - Locutus of the Board
- Member Who Always Turn Out to be Right (aka Most Annoying Member of the Year) - Red Dawn
- Most Vuglar Member - yours truly 🙂

- Nef of the year - Paulson, for the 3rd time in a row (I'm sure he'll be back)
- Dumbass of the Year - GUTB

 
Adul is not a transexual, he is just unsure what he is when he is on the forums, in reality he seems to be rather male.


I dont think we should have just one winner in each catagory, think it would be better if each of us would get like 10 points that we could distribute between 5 members as we like, that is in each catagory. With that we would have a clear winner, we would have computers that can count and we would have more winners.

I'll second ChipBGT/Hyper99/Thunderbooty/Lee for lifetime neffing achievements. I'll also second GF for funniest member and Adul for transexual as well as WW for overall best damn denmother ever 😉

So now I'll make my nomination. Monel for strangest (in a good way) member of the year.
 
forgot to mention our favorite among the general hardware forum...our oh so good buddy HARDWARE....maybe tweedle dee/tweedle dum award! 🙂
