Anandtech Wisemen, i have a dream that i need interpretted

last night i did not sleep well, i had a series of dreams that really disturbed me. kept waking up. but there was this one that was so real. God had taken me to this place and there was a wall. This wall had holes in it, perfect holes, like lockers without doors. Then there were all these blocks around with wierd markings on them. each was able to fit into a hole in the wall. God said that the wall was the internet, and the holes were ports. He said that I must finish the wall, the markings on the stones block AOL instant messanger. WTF!!!!!

btw, i am serious, how did my mind create a dream like this ????

you see god is your father, he is trying to tell you to get off your ass and fix something. AOL IM is mearly you wanting to contact the outside world, your need to communicate. You feel as if it is blocked right now and can not fix it.

Solution, Go outside, get off the internet.

At least you didn't want to post on ATOT while in it. You could see, though, that AOL IM needs to be h4xX0r3d.

dreams tend to be best interpreted by the ones that had them. for that reason, i dont trust dream books. while some symbols may be universally representative of certain things in our culture enough, many of the elements have designs that have special meaning only for the dreamer.

It's your brain processing what you did the previous day. Meaning you spend way to much time on the computer, and should get off and find more productive things to do. This is in no way and interpretive dream.

Its a war against porn. Use IMs to encourage others to turn away from it. God doesnt like people who worship porn via mastrubation.

The wall was the limit He put up. The internet is sometimes manipulated by evil people to spread child porn and the like.

i dreampt i had sex with my ex g/f the other night...kinda nice, kinda freaky.

When you dream, it's akin to your computer performing a POST (power on self test) triggering different regions of your brain, which generates dreams, typically they concern recent events you've experienced or thought about.

Dreams are randomly triggered by your brain testing to see if it's had enough sleep to wake up.

It's foolish to attempt to interpret them.

a few nights ago i had a dream where i was on an island held prisoner by naked blond females.

i escaped with the aid of a female companion (also naked, as was i), and we ran out of the prison blockade, and found other naked blond females having lesbian sex. i joined them.

(this is in fact a real dream... i dont know why i had it... i need a girlfriend...)

I am a wiseman indeed and I see your problem clearly.

The wall is sysbol of something blocking you, something holding you back. The hole or ports as you say are something that lets you see through the wall, or possibly a way out. Finally God is your inner voice, trying to rationalize what you are seeing. Possible in your mind you feel the need to take over AOL, or maybe trying to give you some sort of dircetion.

The qustion I have for you is what do you make of this. The truth is only the one that dreams the dream will be the only one that will know it meaning.

BTW if you become and owner of a Major ISP. Give me a nice job for the guidance.
