Hmm, does "client-type: beta" apply to all GPU slots, or just particular ones?
It is a client-wide setting, not a slot attribute.

Don't set it unless you know what you are getting yourself into and what is implicitly expected of you (quoting from earlier):
  • You need to monitor the client for any failures, especially whole series of failures.
  • The etiquette is that people who try beta work are willing and able to write good failure reports.
However, the respective reporting section at the foldingforum is invisible to unregistered visitors, and read-only for logged-in foldingforum members. Write permission there can be had only after an application with demonstrated ability to be beta tester. (Speaking from what I read about it, not from experience.)

Well, I originally put "client-type: beta" into the client-options, because my RX 5700 was considered somewhat "experimental", until FAHCORE22.

You are right of course. For a while this was indeed required, because only the beta units would get you the then still new core application version which was needed to get this GPU going in F@h.

I've decided to join the excitement too, now that the WU shortage is over (I hope!). Got a WU for my RX 5700 just now, but the GTX 1660ti is still waiting.

I remember adding "client-type: beta" for my RX 5700, but I don't know if that applies client-wide, or just to the slot.

Edit: That didn't take long, my GTX 1660ti just picked up a WU too.

I added it as a client option, so I'd assume client-wide.

The current version of Core22 (Version 0.0.2) was compiled with OpenMM version 7.4.1 and was released in beta in mid-december last year. This version supports Navi GPUs and also results in a modest (~20%) performance increase for all(?) GPUs. The first real work for core22 was all these covid-19 project tasks so any core22 task is covid-19 related.

The evolution of version 0.0,2 is in this thread in the beta forum.

I see the 1660 Super is now available and is about $50 cheaper than the 1660 TI for nearly the same performance. Its a different generation than my 1080Ti - does anyone think it will play nicely with the 1080ti, or will it give me the same problems I had with the 710 and 1080 ti in the same host?

Anyone having issues with getting work units? Other than a few WUs, I've not been able to get anything for the last 12 hours :/

The overall "assign rate" has dropped like a stone.

(Or at least I believe to remember that the numbers were significantly higher yesterday.)

Don;t mind any possible typos, at other house in front of a i3 2100 htpc and a mile back from like a 50 inch tv. That and this keyboard i am using is beyond horrible. Louder then a slant 6 with cracked exhaust manifold and half the keys are in german. That and they are HARD to get registering. All i had for a spare.

Right before i left to come here yesterday for a overnight visit, the gpu client downstairs FINALLY decides not to pick up WU. I paused and resumed can only hope it picked up a wu later. 🙂

Yeah it never did pick up that wu. Got home like a hour ago and yup been idle the entire time . This 1080ti worked non stop and hit 90cel....waiting on these dang new 120mm fans with good status pressure to fix that issue.

Their top folder has a 10.7 million ppd average. Line should be 22m, but the last 24 hours says 16.7m, not sure whats up. Regardless I have him by at least 6 million ppd.

Their top 10 people, other than the lease are like 2.2,1.8,177... down to one million ppd.
Out top 10 except me at like 10,6,5,4,3,2,2,2,2 and down the line, much higher ppd.s/

But yes, they have 2800 active, we have 1400 active. Our team last 24 hours is 187m vs their 160m.

And welcome deskjet !

My 3x GTX 1660ti 6GB cards are ~750K PPD ea., and my RX 5700 is generally at least that. So roughly 3Mil PPD for me.

Edit: Forgot my RX 580 and 470, so more like 3.5-3.7Mil PPD, combined, on a good day. If I can get WUs. 🙂

Welcome @deskjet !

Back home and well with everything i need for the month, yeah even this indica is good for a entire month . Need not go no where and with this stuff i I intend on eating one entire pack on my bday this week, thats 100mg indica and well the other 6 are for the month. 10mg a pop isn't cutting it that much for my issues, 20mg sure in the heck will. Looks like this rig ran 24/7 when i was gone, the second has dropped all wu. Man we was on a roll too! Wow left the fan at 1 instead of 3, this dang 1080ti been hitting 90 cel while i was gone....Looks like on even 3 its still hitting 90 but no worries i picked up some 75cfm 2,400rpm fans with high static pressure, should be eliminating the issue RATHER shortly. Cost same as cheap chinese trash oem fans and i get them maybe in 2 days instead of 6 weeks.

Hope i don't go all weird on ya guys,i had to pop a dang 130mg Hubby cause I really NEEDED it. Happy to be back and folding again 🙂 I just need to chill and watch this gpu crunch some numbers, its quite soothing to see tech being pushed to its max. Nothing else i got on this pc sure in the heck does that.

I got these, this should do the job of cooling the beast. I wanna overclock once those fans are on to replace the 1,200rpm 56 cfm Fractal fans from before. If they work out very good i will prob max out all 6 120 fans on this Antec 900 with these and plug them all right into molex and leave it. Even turn on the 200mm fan again and just idk start looking into some flight simulator titles.
