Okay guys, we at the Distributed Computing sub forum could use some help showing the world who's got the most CPU power. Ibercivis is a BOINC project that's currently doing COVID-19 research so you could also potentially help cure this pandemic we're going through at the same time.

However, I'm more concerned about our competition for the annual pentathlon we compete in each year. Currently we're rocking a Gold medal for this project, but the teams below us want it badly. As you can see here we are barely holding onto to first place.

So, anyone here looking to show off their new shiny CPUs or just want to help out then please join us.

The link to join the team can be located here after signing up. I will be around to help if anyone needs assistance, just reply here and I'll see what I can do to help you.

If you've never ran BOINC and any of this seems daunting to setup, a basic setup is no more complicated than installing Prime95. Basic steps:

1. Download BOINC - https://boinc.berkeley.edu/download.php

2. Install it

3. It should automatically prompt to choose a project to run. Ibercivis most likely isn't listed, so you just need to put the URL in manually which is https://boinc.ibercivis.es/ibercivis/

4. It will walk you through creating a new account. Once this is done it's very important you choose Team Anandtech or the points don't count towards the Pentathlon competition. It should launch a web browser to take you to the Ibercivis settings, but if not just go to https://boinc.ibercivis.es/ibercivis/ and login using the credentials made previously in this step. There should be a 'Find a Team' option once you login.
