Damn, I've been busy with real life stuff and it seems I notice the TF2 night the day after it actually happens. Like right now, I'm a day late again.

Well gentlemen, this may be the last gaming night (tomorrow) on the current server.
For the amount of use it gets, I can't really justify the 34 bux a month anymore. At least not on my own.
If anyone wants to keep it alive, here's an option to drop some cash on the server directly.

We might be able to setup a private server with a significantly reduced cost, but it seems interest has waned with the summer time.

thank TheInternet1980 for doing all this; but given the volume I participate in ATOT-exclusive TF2 events, in all brutual honesty I don't see myself paying for a dedicate server when we can just play in others.

So it seems this may be the end of TF2 nights, unless someone has a server they want to donate for a night here and there.
I was looking around at the cost of running a server and it seems to be ~$100/month for a 24-man TF2 server, which seems like a decent price to me. Now, I know nothing about running a server, but if people were willing to come and play relatively regularly, I would have no problem with ponying up the money for that and keeping everything up to date so we have a place to hang out.
I would probably change the location if I was to do this, so it's a little more central. Does anyone have a clue about which hosts are good/bad?
Let me know your thoughts.

I know someone already offered, but I have a TF2 server thats just sitting idle. I run the box at my house, so there aren't any hosting fees or anyting like that. Feel free to give it a try.

The box is a C2D 3.0GHz, 2GB RAM, Raptor drive running on Windows 2008. I've got business class cable with avg 1.5 megabit upload.
