I saw that article on slashdot the other day.
This is an interesting point. I've pointed out several times that Samsung changed their specs on their next gen monitors. Last time we pointed this out, NEC sued Viewsonic for false advertising. Now that Samsung changed pretty much all of their specs on identical panels from 450:1 to 700:1, everyone jumped on board and did the same.
In fact, the 192T LCD we recieved was a 450:1 contrast ratio LCD. Several weeks later, this was updated on Samsung's website to 700:1. Dont be fooled by this marketing.
