Why don't they use FAT32? I do hate that Macs can't read NTFS though. I keep forgetting that Android doesn't have universal storage.

Macs suck at reading non-mac file formats. The lowest common denominator for universal file format is FAT which has a 2gb limit. Or something like that.

FAT32 has been around long enough that practically every OS can read/write it.

Win7 can natively read MTP. Just plug it in and use it. But on Mac and Linux, it's bit more complicated. Linux users are used to figuring it out. But Mac users...

As soon as you plug in a Galaxy Nexus into a Mac, it prompts you to install the Android USB File Transfer Tool so you can use the app to read/write your phone via MTP.

I'm confused about the radio frequency support of the AT&T One X as well. GSMarena has said it has frequency support for AWS http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_x_at&t-4614.php, but this is not the first time I've heard that this phone won't work on AWS... pretty confusing. What's going on? On the other hand, the One XL doesn't have support for the 1700 MHz frequencies http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_xl-4572.php, pretty confusing.

I thought I'd chime in - GSMArena is just regurgitating the specifications page from HTC which is incorrect.

The One X AT&T definitively does not support AWS for WCDMA.

I still find it weird that 1700Mhz is supported for LTE but not AWS. I guess because of the oversimplification, the bands don't technically overlap fully.

I checked out the screen on this phone today. Simply the best. Period. No other screen beats it (even AMOLED). After looking at this screen, I will not own another PenTile device ever.

This phone's great, I've been playing with mine since I got off work. The AT&T + Locked Bootloader thing's really upsetting though. The people on XDA believe if they raise a big ass stink AT&T will cave in. I don't see that happening.

The screen really is on another level.

A locked bootloader and limited storage negates any possible feature advantage this phone may have.
It may work for someone like my mom, but not for me.

Does anyone who has purchased this phone have anymore feedback to offer in regards to battery life? I know the AT&T version is supposed to be better in this regard than the International version, but I've still read a bunch of conflicting reports about how good/poor the battery life is.

I'm on a Motorola Atrix, which I've had since its release, so I am eligible for an upgrade. I am a little worried though as I believe my battery is just over 1900mah and only on a 4" screen. I'd like to get better battery life in my next phone, not downgrade.

same here. I'm just so anxious to get off the iphone4 bandwagon and am itching to place the order through Amazon wireless.
any real world feedback from those who got this day 1?

multitasking sucks, I know some XDA fellows will get this sorted out with a rom, but as it stands it's not good. I'm already using half my 2 gig app storage space, and I don't even have all my apps restore from my other phone. I've had the camera force close 2 times, which might not be so bad, if I hadn't only used it about a dozen times. I'm going to buy the betterbattery app and see why my battery drains so quickly.

Screen's beautiful, speed's good but not great. LED notification sucks, that's a nit picky thing maybe. But I'm a big fan of phones with highly configurable led's. And not a phone but ICS thing, the only button I used on my EVO was the search, which is gone. I need to Google this as there's probably a way to easily access the search. But that was the 1 button I wish had stayed, oh well 🙁

Interesting. What were you using before getting this phone? and after considering all the pros and cons, will u be keeping this phone or ...?

I used an EVO 4g before this, I will keep this phone for 2 reasons. 1, it has a lot of things I like, and 2 I already returned the Lumia 900 to get this. AT&T has a 1 return policy for non defective phones. I'm also betting that since it's been rooted a MIUI rom won't be too far off., which is a great thing as I absolutely love MIUI.

This phone is a failure with ATT locking the bootloader.

I went down that path once, never again.

By the time 6 months passes and someone finally unlocks it or it is unlocked by ATT, all the good devs will have moved on to something else.

This phone will be popular for a while because it practically has the same hardware as the EVO 4G LTE, the Canadian One X, and international One XL. I also think many are disappointed in the Galaxy S III because it's not really a huge jump from the Galaxy Nexus. Lastly HTC isn't releasing a ton of new phones this year like before, so it will have feasted staying power.
