AnandTech Reseller Ratings

I have added several popular merchants to encourage people to evaluate them. If they see the company listed, I think it is more convenient and therefore more likely that someone will rate the company.

Holy Cow! AnandTech rocks the house. I am so proud to be a dude that posts a lot at AnandTech, but not as much as some others. 😀

Some idiot listed outsideloop twice. they didnt realize it was already there and made a new listing for it. if someone could correct that, it would be so great.

yes, that idiot was me 😱

Awesome job Zuni, very easy to use and professional (as always 🙂)

But one question, who updates it? You yourself, or do you have other staff helping you out?

Thanks...

Nice Job,

Remeber people NOT TO ABUSE THIS SYSTEM.

If you have a problem DON'T POST A RATING UNTIL they have decided not to fix the problem/.

Thanks Zuni...really awesome.

At RR, they would track IPs which would allow them to see when a staff at a particular store would make bogus reviews which would inflate the ratings...are you going to implement something similiar?

And a few suggestions:

1) I had to poke around for a while before I could add a new vendor - you could make that option more convienant by having "Add Vendor" on the search page itself so when people can't find a store, they can easily just add one.

2) With RR down, I'm imagining that AT RR would be the site of choice for most online buyers and some non-AT members who are not interested in AT Forums might be discouraged by having to register just to rate a vendor so they won't bother. Maybe you can still allow non-members to add their own comments under 'anonymous' or 'guest' or something. But at the same time, you can track their IP address to bar staffs from online stores from advertising and others from incessantly falsely rating their favorite vendors.

That's just plain SWEET!

Too bad I buy all my stuff from work. I can't really rate my own work place. 🙁

I know! Fredericks of Hollywood......... 😉

You did great job 😀

One thing I'd do is position this so that it takes most of ResellerRatings' usual visitors...

<< OK which of you nerds rated Fredericks of Hollywood? >>

Haha that was me 😛 I order from there all the time and thought I'd add that in. Are the ratings supposed to be computer related places only? Or just everything? 😀
