Several years ago, my husband and I did a program through the local newspaper to help needy families for Christmas. We pulled up to one house with gifts, and the guy was sitting on the porch with a shotgun. He did not look nice, and it was late evening/very dark so we ended up leaving the gifts at the paper for him to pick up.

I actually find this offensive and believe me I am not against charity, there are people who truly need and you mock them.
