I work at a Porsche dealership, so I can't go visit my favorite OT (CorvetteForum) if I am working on Saturday. One of the managers andone of the salesman will start droning on asking why I like Corvettes, they suck, etc.

Thank you ATOT, you are my savior!

Yup. Especially the new Z. A guy over on the CorvetteForum recently got an 11.40 stock on stock tires and an 11.20 stock on drag radials. Lowest I've ever heard a Viper getting is an 11.5 or so stock on drag radials.

Guys are getting 550-575rwhp in the Z with cams, headers and tuning. Imagine what will be possible once the tuners really learn the car:Q

I'm not a salesman, although I know a lot about the cars and could probably sell them with a little training.

Wouldn't you rather work at a Chevy dealership?

What model, base or S? Stereo? Seats? Color? Interior color? Manual or tip? Which wheels? I can't even begin to describe how long the option list is on these cars. You can get almost anything you want. If it's not available from the factory, we can install it at the dealership.

Yes, I would rather be a Chevrolet salesman than the lot attendant at a Porsche dealership. If it came down to it though, I think I would rather sell Porsches than Chevrolets. I'd be a Porsche salesman driving a Z06.

Car Salesmen are trained!?!?

Last time I went to the lot the guy just kept repeating "It's a clean car. It's a clean car"

Guess that's part of their training ;)

I didn't go to prom. Prom is overrated. Besides, I don't date ugly girls, I only date "aesthetically challenged" girls.

They are trained, most of them just ignore the training though. Usually, the lower the car they are selling (Chevy, Honda, Ford, etc) the less they care. If you get into Porsche, Lexus, etc, then they usually know about what they are selling. Depends though, even salesman in the lower makes know a lot about the most popular model such as the Cavalier (when I bought my car), Cobalt, Civic, Corolla, etc.

Hook the dealership up with enough cash to cover the retail cost of the car and I'll hook you up with a Porsche

I suppose you're right. A couple of Chevy dealerships over here don't even have a Z06 in the showroom.
