Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but if you log into the site prior to the draft you can
pre-set your selection preferences from a list of 500+ players, and then if you can't be
there on draft day, the server will automatically pick the top available player from your
list during each round of the draft.
[ p.s. there's also a default draft ranking order, so technically, you don't need to do
anything other than register and name your team to collect 17 players. ]

I just went through the draft with another team of mine in a public Yahoo
league and it was really quite neat. Hopefully everyone will show up -
whenever an absent person's turn comes up to draft someone, the system
counts down for 2 minutes than automatically picks the top available player
from their list - which results in 2 minute breaks (where nothing happens)
for every missing person, for all *16 rounds* of the draft.
This league had 12 teams and the 16 rounds took about 1:45 (roughly)
to complete. It should have taken much less time than that, but thanks to the
2 absent managers, 1:04 of that was just wasted waiting.
If you can't be there for the draft, or a large part of it, please at least launch
the draft window (link is on the main league page) and click on the "I'm away"
button (you probably need to leave the window open afterwards too). What
that does is cancel the 120 second countdown for your turn, and simply picks
a player automatically from your list whenever your turn comes up - saving
everyone up to 32 minutes.

Ok guys here is the deal.
I talked with here4, and it emailed him an hour before the draft saying it could not live draft.
We've gotten an even number of teams, and a new draft time. He's out of town until Monday, so temporarily I will take over if anything needs done. I'm gonna go over all the settings to make sure we're optimal, and we won't be adding any more people unless it's 2 at a time to make SURE we have an even number.
As of now, the new time is:
Your draft is set for Tuesday, October 1 at 11:50 am EDT. It begins in 5 days, 18 hours, and 20 minutes
I hope this is alright with everyone, if not, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pre-rank your players, so you can at least control what order you will have Yahoo pick players for you. the times for drafts are getting thin and thin, this is all we can manage. Before the draft, the order will be randomized so it isnt the order in which we signed up.

1. You had less than four teams in your league at the time of the draft.
2. Your league uses the Head-to-Head scoring system, but had an odd number of teams in it at the time of the draft.
We have changed your league to an Autopick draft and set your status to Not Ready. Once you have fixed the problem, you can either choose a new live draft time or set your status to Ready and have us draft your league. See the rules for more information.

Now i dont think that we had an odd number of players the day of the draft, nor did we have less than 4 teams. So whatever the problem was its done and over now.
