He went full retard, never go full retard.
If you wanted an honest discussion about it why did you post this in Off Topic? :hmm:
Personally, I don't care. I mostly buy Intel stuff because the company I work for is an Intel supplier. Nvidia is also a customer of ours.
Now the remainder can't even see why AMD posting an article as if it was an anandtech article on the front page is even an issue
No, the people in here aren't really thick. They realize that the rules in OT are more relaxed than in the technical forums, allowing them more latitude for pointing out that you're one of the <jerks> who takes brand loyalty excessively seriously. You guys are all really thick, I hate to say it but its incredible the level of stupidity you guys are showing. Either I have failed to articulate the problem or the idea of video card overclocking being an AMD specific thing has passed you all by, as has the idea that AMD is authoring articles for Anandtech now or I just articulated that really badly but I can't see the alternate interpretation. That isn't how it has been, this is a new breach of ethical conduct on Anandtech.
Welcome all the morons to the ignore list. You really are the bottom feeders of these forums.

You and a few others seem to get a hard on for using faux rage to point out the most trivial of crap that's completely a non-issue to the vast majority of unbiased posters. As an analogy, your arguments go beyond "who shot first? Han Solo?" You've risen to the level of intellectual garbage of "Star Wars was awful, because at the 1:15:16 mark, if you go frame by frame, you can see the reflection of the director's coffee cup in 2 of those frames. Obviously, Lucas sucks as a drector if he allowed that to occur."
I also don't know who the writer is, looking into it he appears to be an online marketer. He isn't an Anandtech author as far as I can tell. Its on the Anandtech front page, its listed from that perspective as nothing to do with AMD but yet when you come into it its in the AMD centre which is a little strange especially considering the content of the article doesn't seem all that specific to AMD.
What changed is that it used to be AMD product reviews that got put into the AMD centre and when it was introduced Anand specifically said it was about all AMD content written by Anandtech writers to be under there. Obviously they also added the tweets and such. This is something new and different, because its not about an AMD product at all. The writer is not Anandtech as far as I can tell (its his only article on the site) and I don't really know why its under the AMD centre. I can clearly see that it is, but based on how this thing was introduced and the previous statements on how it would be used I am concerned that a line just got crossed where now AMD or people AMD has hired are writing directly on Anandtech without any form of marking that this is an article written by a sponsor or something. I think its mighty strange and ethically pretty dodgy. I thought the AMD centre itself was pretty dodgy but as long as they kept it to a certain level didn't have to influence the reviews I was concerned but happy they understood the integrity issues around it.
Question is does anyone know what just happened and why and what it means in the change of policy on Anandtech in regards to AMD advertising deal? When the deal was first announced I remember AMD marketing immediately posted banned content in the CPU and VC&G forums. They genuinely thought they had bought the right to post marketing in here. Now have they managed to buy the rights to post on Anandtech? In addition make it look like Anandtech wrote the article? Why do it with this article which on the face of it is pretty neutral. Its presence in the AMD centre is odd which is the only reason I started to even look into the why. Its left me with more questions than answers at this point.
PS if you previously were a nob I wont see your message so no point posting to try and get a rise out of me. I wont ever see a message from you again, I even copy my ignore list to other forums.
The phrase "presented by" is how you announce who the sponsor is. "Presented by" does not mean written or supplied by.
I hate to necro this old thread
