In August PCWorld magazine, anandtech is mentioned as 'runner-up' in the TECH TIME category for BEST OF THE WEB 2001, Tom's Hardware was first place

Yes, Anandtech was mentioned on Slashdot today too. That's the reason the forums are moving so sluggishly tonight.( all those guys coming over to read some post)

RGN is right, Dr. Pabst is the king. He invented overclocking.

i dispise tom's hardware. they are second to anandtech, though. i have seen serveral errors in tom's articles that really angered me, me because it made it obious that he did not put the time into the article. Anandtech on the other hand....anand's articles are top-class. He doesn't leave errors in his articles.

I actually started reading stuff on Sharky's Extreme, then to Tom's Hardware, then Hard|OCP, and then AnandTech. Dr. Pabst and AnandTech are both more on the technical side compared to Hard|OCP, which tells it like it is for everyone else. However, I've stopped reading the first two sites for different reasons.

i enjoy toms, though i think he could use a site redesign.

he definitely let's you know how he feels about things which i don't think is a bad thing. sometimes too much objectively is a bit bland.

that said, i spend more time here then there.

F*CK THAT SH*T. I've been to Tom's Hardware about 6 times. Its pretty good, but not nearly as comprehensive as Anand Tech's forum. Not to mention efficient. I've only been on here for a lil over a month and come almost everyday. It has saved me lots of money, time, and I've learned quite a bit. This site has 60,000 plus people yet when I do a database search for key terms, etc, its super fast, even on my 56k modem. I think we should send some angry emails to the magazine editor of PCCrap magazine.
