Did I miss anything? The main AT page's news section hasn't been updated in 3 days. Did the site close and no-one told me about it?

Did the site close and no-one told me about it?

Was that supposed to be a serious comment? Why in world would AnandTech close down randomly? And besides even if they did, why would they warn you? You are not the most important person on the site so watch your unnecessary comments.

Not a lot of posts from this person, but it appears that there is a fairly serious Anandtech dependency going on here.
"Don't even say that man! DON'T EVEN THINK IT!!! ANANDTECH WILL NEVER CLOSE!!! NEVER!!!!!!"

I think if the site is making $1.5 to $2 million a year, it would be pretty stupid to sell it. Besides, Anand would'nt have worked day and night to sell the site one day. Of course, there is always a possibility but this site is not going down anytime soon.

Let's see. The site serves over 3.7 million readers per month with over 50 million page views. And Anand was making $50,000 (per year) after he started AnandTech.

All of those editors aren't working for free. TomsHardware makes millions too.

I once contacted AnandTech's advertising agency and they charge $20,000 for one million banner impressions. Think about it: AnandTech has so many ads so it is obvious that he is making $1.5 to $2 million a year.

CNET Network sites make $67 million a year from advertising. All TV stations make their money from advertising. Advertising is huge.
