For a few bucks more (proc costs $388) you can pick up a P4 2.8Ghz.
Yes you could, but the 2700+ is as fast or faster and as you mentioned, cost less.

This is one of the best reviews I've ever read. Very objective and fairly unbiased. Instead of turning the HT on and off on every benchmark and skewing the number of entries on a graph the advantages of HT were cleanly displayed in a couple of clean looking charts.
So...where can we actually buy this "Athlon XP 2800+?"
