Hey Carson, I'm having that same issue with my own avatar as well. I have alerted the devs. I hope it's sorted out shortly.

1. There should be options for posts per page. 25 is way too low.
2. This default theme is a little too bright, so an option for a more muted theme would be nice.

any idea how to get the left sidebar with a listing of all forums back?
The sidebar has been replaced with a quick nav menu. It's the little skill tree looking icon located in at the top right of the page above your username:

It has more functionality than the sidebar with the added benefit of retracting to save site space.

1) disable the sidebar on the right, massive waste of space
2) let us set posts per page and threads per page, as we could before. - there is an option for threads per page but its not working, i have it set to 200 and its def not at 200

Can we not edit our own posts? i see no edit button

also can we turn off the green blinking online indicator, that's gonna give me a seizure

I can't upload an avatar. I've tried 1/2 dozen files, JPGs, PNGs, a GIF. The last one I tried was a 208x208 pixel GIF. It failed to upload when I hit OK. What's going on?????

I'll assume it's fair to allow some time for hiccups and features to be added in....but this forum currently looks like garbage. I really can't read anything. The right side bar is a waste of space and provides nothing. The little quick navigation feature doesn't offer anything beyond the top menu buttons.

theme is too bright, no contrast--I can't distinguish between a post and some random cutesie images that seem meant to appeal to teenagers playing candy crush. There's all these pointless social media buttons that are useless--we will be able to remove those, right?

Each post has a "like" button ffs.

Not a fan of Xenforo myself & have to agree with the general sentiment that the upgrade is a bit of mess, also this like syndrome is a FAD😱

I'll say the current Theme is too bright, with little contrast, especially on the thread view. There is also a lot of needless whitespace.

We need a posts per page option.

I also vote to get rid of the "like" button, just encourages neffing and "like wars," Anandtech has always gone out of their way to not have a like or thanks button in the past.

Hi, everybody!

2) let us set posts per page and threads per page, as we could before

+1
The posts per page is crucial thing.

Also, would be nice to see moving the post # and the post time to the top of the post for better readability.

yes, please remove the likes. AT seemed pretty unique without this clubby/cliquish system of points and voting. We form alliances through clever, witty...and sometimes downright nasty putdowns and praises of our allies and nemesi. Likes and points is just empyt and lazy, saps personality and eliminates the concept of community.

...this is supposed to be community, right? There is a reason why likes/points/trophies have been absent here for years, and it isn't because the forums were "outdated," it is because those are recognized as value-less "features."

I'm also seeing "alerts" pop up every second--remember that time, in the earlier days of the www, where pop up ads were a thing that EVERYONE universally hated? Guess what--people still hate garbage popping up on their browser. Doesn't matter where it pops up, and for what reason, but no one wants it.

The like button is a Xenforo thing, but I imagine they can turn things on and off like other sites using it that have edit and delete buttons.

Ar least we can post again and the search seems to be starting to function better.

The trophy thing has always been a waste of time.

Hey all, we're momentarily having some issues with user group permissions.
If you find that you are unable to do something that you should normally be able to do (post/edit/upload), sit tight until our user permissions re-import is completed in an hour or two.

yea i cant keep the forum open on a 2nd monitor with these blinking green epilepsy indicators

FWIW, I see no green blinky dot on your avatar, but I do see it on others. I guess it's that randomized user-permissions uploading deal that jpishgar is mentioning.

Cripes....I don't care who's online, what staff is online, or what new posts there've been elsewhere when I'm reading a thread. Those info side bar/s on the right are sickening. Almost half the page is void of info that's relevant....and ends up blank down the page.

Text is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too light.
