Anandtech forums change again!

With the menu on the left it seems to showcase the advertisements more, they stay in view longer (for me). Also the screen blanks and "My Menu" reloads every time, it seems like it wouldn't need to do this. Other than this, it does seem handy to have the options/links on the left. It could use a little tweaking to match color schemes though 😛

By the way, I had made just one commect on how I disliked the new forums, this does not make me a whiner, I am just expressing my view point, now If I had bitched about several days in a row, then that moniker would apply.

lol... that post wasnt aimed at you or anubis... and like you said there were people here bitching at the new format in numerous threads... over and over and over... 🙂
 
If there was a way to make the additional stuff modular, insomuch as we can pick if we want the AT bar up top, or our PM/Buddy List etc on the side, I think that would satisfy most users..

I just logged in and saw the tabs up there and thought "were those there all along or am I just a dumbass?" Luckily it is now confirmed that I am not a dumbass...as far as the forum at least...

To add things to favorites, click on the yellow star either at the top right or bottom right of every thread. It is right next to the "print", "email" , and "subscribe" icons.
 
What sucks is I REALLY like the drop down menu at THE BOTTTOM of the post.. A lot of times I would jump between HD & OT from the bottom of a post.
 
Que terrible.

I like the sidebar, but the blue bars are ridiculous (don't match anything). The sidelinks look silly because they can't fit the entire text of the forum name.

The bars and the AT links really need to be part of the color scheme so that they change when you change your color scheme. They just look really bad with the black scheme.
 
i like the stuff on the left! top banner is kinda thick though, but the tabs to the sections of the main site was a good idea. cut that blue part in half and they have a winner imo 🙂
 
I have a terrible confession: I've grown to like the new forums. Considering there is nothing I can do about it anyway I might as well.
 
I like it alot I wish there was bottem forum selector though and no horizontal scroll when minimized.
