Anandtech Effect: Barbie

As my post count evidences, I don't ask much of ATOT, but I'm hoping with the techies and nerds that abound in here (myself included), we can make the next Barbie Doll a Computer Engineer. Who knows, maybe it will inspire more gargantuan blonde bombshells into the Engineering Fields.

If Computer Engineer wins, I pledge to purchase one for my co-workers 3 year old daughter...using money taken from his wallet.

I wonder if the enviromentalist will have dreads, a bob marley tshirt, black feet and will inspire the next generation to be useless.

Done.

Would have love to seen Industrial Designer (still very male dominated), Mechanical or Electrical Engineer but Computer is pretty cool. 🙂

Voted. Now I'm dying to know what C.E. Barbie is going to wear! Dressy? Casual? So many cool accessories - phone, PDA, laptop, retro calculator that REALLY WORKS! Will she have a fancy computer bag or a cool backpack? Both?

Will she have a computer engineer boyfriend? Boss? Co-workers? I can't wait . . .

Voted & I *was* going to tell others about this link, but I wasn't sure how to answer, "... and you found this web site doing ... ... ?" to the OP!

I'm wary of what horrors Mattel's marketing department will assemble for a "computer engineer" Barbie.
"More shallow stereotypes" is the first thing that comes to mind.
