AnandTech Developer Position

Jason Clark

Diamond Member
AnandTech is currently seeking a qualified software developer with experience in C#/VB.NET. The qualified candidate would be required to develop web applications for AnandTech, and maintain the current development environment. The candidate should be able to create and maintain websites in IIS, and should be able to create and modify databases using SQL Server. A solid background in object oriented development is required, along with a thorough understanding of HTML/CSS and JavaScript. Familiarity with Windows 2000/2003 Server is a must. This is a contractor position allowing the candidate flexibility in maintaining other jobs. This position is considered a remote position; the candidate can work on the site from any geographic location. Candidates in the Raleigh/Durham area are preferred but not required.

Please email your resume to jobs@anandtech.com.

I have to admit, if I had the experience that you are looking for, I would do it for free just to be able to be part of the AT team. 🙂

Hope you find the right guy for the job!

I hope you guys don't plan on paying, when you can hook half of these members with a simple custom title.

I'm pretty sure whoever they hire would be able to hook themselves up. 😛

sadly i am not good enough with web stuff to do this.. i think i'd apply though if i was. would be cool to work for anands.

Details? I don't know how many people could possibly be interested in a job that doesn't specify a time requirement or salary/wage.

Given that you've put a custom link to this thread at the top of every page, I think that the sticky in the Software forum is innappropriate. It's not like everyone already hasn't seen the advert and there are already 5 stickies in there besides this new one, which makes it really cluttered.

I'd have complained in that thread except that it's locked. 🙁 Anyway, any chance of having it removed?

I've never seen a job advert of this sort that does. Usually it's something they'll discuss after they know they're interested in you.

Oh, for the love of God, will you STFU?

Dang it. Do you use COBOL with IMS and JCL by chance? I can tinker with REX and CLIST.

🙁

Hell no, lol. He said VB/VC# .NET which has nothing whatsoever to do with any of that. I didn't know COBOL still existed, I thought it died out with Latin...
