AMD Details Renoir: The Ryzen Mobile 4000 Series 7nm APU Uncovered
I haven't had a chance to read the whole article yet, but Hardware unboxed says that the performance comparison AMD shows is for 15 W Renoir vs 25 W Intel chips.

Those are the 4800u, not the 4900H or HSI'm telling you.... if these are really $1000 and $1200.....
It's basically for free.
Those are the 4800u, not the 4900H or HS
IPC jump is definitely not 25%. 25% figure is cumulative of IPC(~15%) and clocks(~8-9% effective).
Renoir is so superior that it's stupendous![]()
Renoir will do it's job of reminding the laptop market that AMD exist pretty well. It won't win a great deal on it's own, but in the future (Cezanne and on) expect much better adoption for Ryzen mobile. For AMD sake they better take advantage of it because they will not get too many opportunities like this.
This is good. People are asking for tv boxes and I cannot recommend them one that just doesn't feature MadVR quite the way I like it.Asus Renoir APU Mobile Powered Mini PC is coming to the market.
