I'm a liberal on most issues, and the congressional black caucus' homophobia not withstanding, we're a lot more likely to see advances on gay rights under an Obama presidency (specifically, ending DA/DT, though I'm not getting my hopes up; I know my place in the special interest identity politics pecking order, the democratic party won't support gays if it means angering the african american or hispanic wings of the party, but they're still miles ahead of the republicans).

the Obamanaut zealots and kool-aid drinkers give me great pause and I have disagreements with aspects of Barry's foreign policy, where I tend to lean neocon, but what's the worst that can happen? just because I'm not a party-line democrat doesn't mean I can't see what's best for me.

Uhmm, okay. I always vote for Nader. If I lived in a swing state I would have voted for Obama, but since I don't I have the luxury of voting for a genuine leftist candidate. Just because I call out the morons that post stupid things about Obama on here doesn't mean he is my favorite candidate (although I do like him). I'm a liberal, and he's a centrist.
