I would never have thought that i would find an article about Anandtechs server farm interesting but I have thoroughly enjoyed each of them. What i wouldn't give to get to play with a tenth of the hardware they are using.

What!!! he didn't want to spend $25,000 on hardware, I thought Anand was made of money :D

very cool though, and an excellent article, well written and plenty of pictures!!!

Actually I want to have the same kind of setup at my house one day :)

Keep it up guys!!

awesome article anand.
I would be building some servers at work and we are going the AMD way, with a SOYO mobo with PC133 chips, these arent webservers rather file servers holding 600GB of data on external scsi drive. The drives are from Medea Corp.. we already have quite a few of them.. they are reliable enough for us, though the other machines run raid 0 externally .. this one wont be raided externally, just the internal raid will be used.

I am really impressed by their servers and the amount they have, I wonder if they all belong to anand, if they do then I HATE HIM! jk I like boi wonder. BTW Anand can you give me a couple of your servers and your bmw, thanks :)

p.s. I agree aquaman those racks are VERY nice, I want to grab them and hold them and cuddle them and play with them and squeeze them and use them for my "pleasures"... time to go to the bathroom...

Hehe, check out this tidbit on page 4:

<< So when an AnandTech Web Server prepares Page 5 of our AMD 760MP Review and sends it off to you, it sends it through its own network cards directly to you and not through the load balancer. >>
