That's what Van Smith of Vanshardware had to say about Anand. Here's his exact quote:
I am deactivating the link to AnandTech because the quality and objectivity of Anand's material has degraded to the point that it is an embarrassment to the hardware review community.
Where does this guy get off spouting all this junk? Van is so hypocritical it makes me sick. I can't believe there was a time I actually took this guy seriously. Even though Van is quite knowledgeable and there is the occasion that his material is grounded in truth, it's fairly obvious to me that he has deep biases of his own.
What are all your thoughts?
*UPDATE*: Apparently quite a few people don't know who Van Smith is (which is actually good), but let me give you the quick synopsis anyway.
Van Smith worked for THG (Toms Hardware Guide, run by Dr. Tom Pabst) back in 1999/2000 but eventually "quit" and decided to join another hardware review web site called Inquest, which he later "quit" due to unspecified circumstances (some believe it to be his false analysis that Pentium 4 clock throttling is "bad", and that it happens all the time. Inqst supposedly booted him cause his testing mythology was found to be inaccurate). Now Van runs his own web site (vanshardware) and is in the middle of working on the "COSBI" project (Comprehensive Open Source Benchmark Initiative). This guy is clearly obsessed with the AMD vs. Intel battle and can be very biased sometimes. However, Van is an intelligent guy, and offers a lot of interesting insights sometimes.
