Is there much of a performace boost going from 266a to 333? after all 266a already matches AMD CPUs FSB.

Good article as usual. I always enjoy the anandtech reviews more than any other websites.

This didn't help me much on deciding which KT333 motherboard to get though.
Anandtech came up with the same conclusion as everyone else, that none of them are break out performers. I was really hoping that they had a gold winner at least. :(
Going from this review and others....I can't decide between the MSI KT3 Ultra or the Gigabyte GA-7VRXP.
Maybe some Rev2 boards will come out soon and make the performance difference great enough apart to make a decision. Heheh, right. ::)

I'm upgrading soon and leaning towards the gigabyte board. I'd like to get the Soyo but I cant find a supplier in the UK.

Akaz1976, there is practically no performance improvement from 266a to 333, but there's no reason if you're buying a new mobo not to get the kT333, that being said, theres partically no reason to go from 266a to 333 if you already have a 266a

No overclocking analysis with common components? I would have like to have seen that. Good review overall though.

But wouldnt 266a mobos be cheaper? and more mature? plus RAM for 266a would be cheaper too no?

EDIT: plus i dont really want to pay for raid controller since i have just one HDD.

Not really. For example, the non-raid 266a based Asus A7V266-E at its cheapest is $105 on Pricewatch, meanwhile the A7V333 Non-RAID is $106. And further, you can just use DDR266 on a KT333 mobo. more mature? Maybe, but I wouldn't worry about that either.
