considernig how few people actually know anandtech is from an indian name...i don't think it matters. sure you havea few indian user names, but the user base is probably not dominated by them. annadtech got famous for being a good tech site and attracted nerds of all races. people didn't come here to see an indian. asians and i mean including chinese etc are probably overrepresented on this board sure. thats how it is on college campus's as well. nothing new

If people from Indian descent did not select "Asian" and "Indian" in the first poll wasn't interpreted as Native American, looks like 6-7% might be a good ballpark figure.
There were a couple other polls I found but they didn't have Indian as a separate answer.

There could be plenty of good reasons why the demographic of these forms would be more Indian than any other tech forum.

There is no reason why the demographic of these forums would be any more Indian than any other tech forum though. Anand seems as American as any other English tech writer I've read, perhaps with better grammar than average though

For about 4 years when I hardly ever came here I thought it was something like 'ann an tech' because it made no sense to me. Then I heard anandtech and I was like well there it is!

I doubt that the people whom are giving me a hard time are actually angry at me. I'm guessing most of the insecure are upset that an Indian man created of the place they spend time in.
