Anand Bulletin (FuseTalk) vs Vbulletin

I love anandtech... but the search and formatting just aren't to my liking. Anyone else feel that way? What's your preferred bulletin software?

That's an ugly version. There are several, much better looking custom skins for vBulletin.

I like vB better tbh, FuseTalk at a second, phpBB at a third.

I don't know how the various softwares are for maintenance, but as an end user, I certainly prever vBulletin.

In terms of look and feel, AnandTech's layout is far and away my favorite. There's just nothing else that's comparable IMO.

I understand that the back-end administration is a bit fubared with FuseTalk, but the fact is that it remains a far more polished UI than the other forum software options that I have seen.

Once you admin vbulletin you really can't go back. I'm also a much bigger fan of the layout and personal options.
