Go to this thread!

Come on people!
I hear you always saying how great Anandtech is!
Can you not see fit to defend Anand against unjustified accusations of bias?

I just red the Ars forum.
Glad thats the first and last time i'll read it.
anyways, dont wanna waste my time to go over there...

i'm wondering if any of them have noticed the benchmarks are on differnt maps...

Yep... some one did.

Read the articles properly. The difference is due to different Q3 benchmarks.
The first and third graphs you show is benching demo001.dm3

The second is benching demo127.dm3, whatever that is, but obviously its a different, possibly more fpu intensive benchmark. In any case this test bears no relation to the other two tests/graphs.

The third is using demo001.dm3 again, but there are three minor differences in the test compared with the 1st graph you presented. Firstly the motherboard is an A7V, which would give a better result than the FIC AZ11 used in the first test. Also the NED driver version is different, 5.22 in the first test, 6.31 in the second. Furthermore, the VIA driver set is 4.03 in the first, 4.21 in the second, hence the slightly higher numbers than the first graph you presented.

^Links show differences in testing parameters.

Hope that clears up any confusion and removes any misguided conjecture on the bias of Anand.

There are actually some pretty good guys in that thread at ARS. Zer opened an excellent can on fluid boy.
