I also love Costco.

Back when I lived in Seattle, KOMO-4 (ABC) local news was doing an interview with the founder/CEO dewd. He was walking through the store, pointing out their practices and what have ya.

As he was walking past the meat department, he eyed the lobsters they had on display. He was so impressed with the price, he tip-toed over and grabed one for dinner that night for himself. :)

Regardless, I love to shop there. Some of their non-food items are from China, but I think that's just part of the games these days. My understanding is that they don't go out of their way to buy Chinese goods like Wal-Mart does.

/has been shopping at Costco since age 7 with my mum. 5lb tubs of Red Vines rock
//continues to shop at Costco each weekend
///will never give one penny to Wal-Mart

what's wrong with buying chinese goods? or do you mean that by buying chinese goods they're ignoring the plethora of usa manufactured goods? oh wait, i don't think those exist anymore...

More props to the CEO

"I've been very well rewarded," said Sinegal, 69, who is worth more than $150 million thanks to his Costco stock holdings. "I just think that if you're going to try to run an organization that's very cost-conscious, then you can't have those disparities. Having an individual who is making 100 or 200 or 300 times more than the average person working on the floor is wrong."

It's pretty obvious what a person means when they make that sort of comment.

Costco is great. if i didn't have to drive 50 minutes to get to the nearest one (vs 2 minutes to get to the sams next door), i'd go to costco, but alas, it's hard to spend the extra 48 minutes one way just for slightly better prices and much better selection.

I've got to drive over 125 miles to get to the nearest one. Closest Sam's is 10 minutes.

:(

theres a sams about 20 miles from me, maybe 25....costcos nearest is 125 at least, ive never been there and likely never will, sucks, i hate walmart/sams

Their tracking system is pretty nice.

I hope they are better than Walmart. Ours seems be be out of so many items. Their complaint is that they can't get people to stock the shelves. I wonder why?

Not a member of Costco, but I borrow a friends card and go once a month. Cool place to shop. I always spend a lot more than I intend, but it's always a bargain. I'd much rather go to Costco than Wal-Mart. Better products, better prices and better class of customers. Seems odd to think that a warehouse store is so much nicer than a normal department store, around here it's true though. Costco is nice and Wal-Mart is awful.

Costco > Wallstreet :D

My parents got the Samsung 56" DLP display model for $2200 last month  Thing is in perfect condition, had all the included accessories/paperwork, and included a stand! They took off $600 because it was the display!
