Analog-to-Digital software?

Howdy fokes.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR 150 capture card, and a set of DTV-ready rabbit ears. I'm wondering if there is currently any software that could convert the signal coming from the analog-only capture card to digital, so I could see my local's digital subchannels and such?

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

If I'm not mistaken, that Happauge only has an analog tuner, and antennas for digital are the same as they are for analog. So the short answer is no. You could buy a set-top-box digital tuner and hook that into the analog inputs of the Happauge, but you'll be limited to the maximum resolution of the Happauge- I don't know what that is but I'll be it's lower than that of digital tv.
I recommend you either buy a standalone hard disk recorder w/ digital tuner (or DVD recorder /w digital tuner, but they recorded resolution will be lower resolution). Or buy something like this:
http://www.hauppauge.com/site/...ucts/data_hvr1950.html
which has digital and analog support for your pc. Maybe put your current Happauge up on ebay to help cover the cost.

After next February, all broadcast TV signals will be digital, and you'll need to replace your analog card. Then your received TV signal will be digital. If you have cable, that is probably already digital. Your card is obsolescent.

The card's tuner is soon to be obsolete, but the card is still useful for capturing video such as from VHS, game consoles, Laserdisc, set-top-boxes, etc. But I wouldn't want to hold onto it for long
