An odd but valid question about EEE

It's funny, but in order to buy an Asus EEE I need to know that:

Has everyone here had headaches due to staring at that 7'' screen?

I usually have some heavy headaches, but am very very interested in an EEE. Just don't know what working on such a screen is like.

Like the dentist would ask in Marathon Man: "IS IT SAFE?"

thanks

It doesn't bug me when using it for short periods of time, but using the screen for long periods of time I could see it causing problems.

Don't let the specs fool you, though. I also thought 7" sounded pretty small, but when I actually got mine I found the screen surprisingly usable. Even from a comfortable sitting position (i.e. laptop on a table/desk, your eyes probably 1-1.5ft away from the screen) you shouldn't have to strain to read text. But if you come by a site with abnormally small text, CTRL+ in Firefox fixes that pretty quick. 😉

ill be interested in getting one when the 9" model comes out to replace my T40....and pairing a 17 or 19 inch LCD with it.

Well, I think I can handle that. I intend to use it mostly while stuck on public transit, so although that may mean a long time, I don't think it'll be that much to a point of frying my brain.

Thanks!!

if you live in montreal i can tell you from experience even a 10 minute drive in a car is one hour or more by bus. Id get used to straining lol
